Action figures do qualify so:
  • Classified fig are 4+: Tax break applies
  • Super7 GI Joe o-ring are 14+: Tax break doesn't apply

Hopefully the Amazon/Walmart/Toysrus of Canada don't see this as an opportunity to increase their price buy a dollar or two.

So has anyone taken advantage of the holiday yet?

So far Classified related I have picked up the Legacy HALO Jumper, Storm Shadow (v2) and IG BAT on sale and tax free. (from Amazon and Walmart)

I picked up a couple of Retro carded figs I was missing (Stalker, Cobra Trooper) right before the tax holiday,  but they were on sale for $25 and disappeared once the tax holiday started (at that price) so I don't feel too bad about that.

Now to wait and see if there are any other good sales on stuff I need to stack on top of the tax holiday.

I haven't picked up anything yet.  Halo jumper and Sniper are probably the only two that I didn't grab when they came out.
