Will you back this project?

I have never backed a Kickstarter before, but this is very tempting.

How does it work for the pledge?  Meaning do they charge any taxes, or shipping after the funding is over or is it just the $300?  $300US is a big ask to get a whole set, but it would be nice to get one with everything and not have to worry about collecting the retail releases over the years.

I have bought several copies of the comics over the years, from the original releases, to the Graphic Novel collections.  This one looks amazing, and when comparing the cost of what i have spent in the past, isn't outrageous.  That being said,  I now have a digital file of all of them, and don't have the space that another set would take up.  I think I ended up boxing up all of my previous copies and have them tucked away in the attic or the back of a closet.

I expect it will cost at least another $100 USD to ship. And some Kickstarters (like the 3DJoes book) don't collect tax, but declare commercial value on their customs forms (technically Kickstarter rewards are gifts, not sold merchandise, so their bad), so expect import fees too.

Hi, expect the worst: GST + Shipping is $100 for the $300 package and $75 for the $150 package.

I'm still debating what package to buy. I can save a lot of money when buying only the PDF. But it's not as fun to read.

Thanks for that info guys.

I'll probably skip this then.  The price is already pretty high, and adding in taxes/duties/customs, shipping and exchange....Yikes.   I just don't see the value in what will probably end up being close to $600Cdn after all is said and done for a complete set.  Especially with so many other toy items coming this year (both Joe and non-Joe) that I have to "keep my powder dry" for them instead.

looking at what's in this... still not "everything" they don't include yearbook 1 in compendium 2 and there's no European Missions. so it's not "complete".

I already have trades IDW did of the main ARAH series, Spec Missions and the Yearbooks. I'm not bothered about the sucky Transformers crossover or the OrBat books, so easy pass for me.

It really is more about the presentation than anything else.

I just preordered yesterday the soft cover version (issues 1-50) on Amazon.ca because it was on sale for $52Cdn.  Right now it is around $55Cdn on sale so still a big discount from the almost $90Cdn originally being asked.  I'll give it a try and if I like it I'll try and round up the next volumes on sale as well.

Thanks, I also place my preorder.

It is kind of weird that we get this content from Amazon and Kickstarter also at the same time.

I get it that the Kickstarter gives a nice packaging, but it cost a lot + shipping + duties + exchange.

It's just another in a long line of items being offered through the US that really is mostly only for those in the US.  So places like Amazon make it easier to just pick up the cheaper version.

Man is this thing just cruising along.

Almost $2,220,000US  (over $3 million Canadian) on a goal of $50,000US.

17 stretch goals unlocked and 11 days to go.

WOW!!!

Joe fans really came out for this.

Up next will have to be the rest of the ARAH (Hama) run through IDW onwards (#300) as the second compendium set.   I'm sure they are also looking at at Transformers one as well.

Just a reminder that today the Stinger, MM Sgt. Slaughter and MM Low-Light/Spirit have gone up for preorder.

Stinger is available in lots of places, but already sold out at some of them.

Sgt. Slaughter should stick around for a long while.

The Low-Light/Spirit 2-pack is a Pulse exclusive so only available through them.

Oh and if you watched the Stinger unboxing today you would already know that Lenny unveil the Nemesis Immortal in package!!!!   He is a BEAST!!!!!  Incredible, can't wait to order him.
