Judge Dread
« on: August 22, 2007, 04:29:50 PM »

In my best Peter Griffon voice "Awesome".

I had no idea that Marvel toys was going to release action figures in the same style as the Marvel legends but for other comic lines. I was in Walmart (Oakville) yesterday looking to see if the had the new 12' Joes (they don't and once again Canada got the shaft on these if anyone is interested). Anyhow, walking thru the toy section and I saw "Super Patriot" from Eric Larsen. I thought that was cool as I use to read the comic but not enough for me to buy it. Then I looked thru the rest and at the very back was Judge Dread. That I bought without a second thought. It's a very personal thing for me and my love of Judge Dread going back to when I was 16 and in England. Long story made short, I love the character.

I very happy to say the figure is very well made. I wish the fingers had joints on the as it's a bit hard to hold his guns, but over all I'm happy. He comes with the right leg for Pitt and that leg is almost as tall as Dread. For the first time very I'm tempted to build one of these bonus figures.

Nope. I have the package in front of me now. Here's the six:
Ripclaw
Judge Dread
Superpatriot
Madman
Savage Dragon
Witchblade.

Those six have parts for Pitt.

Funny how so many Image comic guys and yet no Spawn, which is a shame because for once we might have gotten a Spawn that has more than 5 points of movement.

It's in Spawn's contract that any likeness of him may only have 4 points of articulation.

5 if you count in package breaking.  :shifty:

I know. They also shipped Judge Death as a "teaser" for wave 2 or the "Monkeyman" from Mokkeyman and O'Brien wave.

Really? I'm into these figures for once. Where did you get the info on it and have there been pics of Judge Death yet? Also, do they build someone as well in wave 2?

It would be cool if they did the Wild CATS.
The figures Playmate released years ago were kinda..lame.

Wasn't Ripclaw from Wild CATS? I looked over on ebau and the next wave has that 3 armed cyborg dude from Cyber Force but the three arms on the right side looked sort of lame in toy form. I guess I should call the guy the 4 arm dude from Cyber Force as he also has one left arm.

One figure I'd like to see them make is the original Deth's Head.

Ummm, Judge Death is out now. I'm surprised you didnt see him. As far as pics online I dont know where they would be. There is a regular Death and a clear variant.

I saw Judge death and the Judge Death clear varient at walmart.  I wasn't fond of the Judge Dredd colouring too light for my taste.  They had a Savage Dragon varient with t-shirt I almost bought but didn't.  I did pick up an amazing Thor fig though.
