Another one knocked out of the park! Nice work guys!!!
-
great news letter guys you really do a nice job with everything.

Great Work as usual! I love the tip with the "Pinning" I can't wait to try it! Jason, you did a great job as usual! Now my only question which I know will not get answered is:
The Lava Pod (Mole Pod) that was at the end of Jason's comic. Was that added in there becuase I have posted 1000 times asking for a Chrome Mole Pod? Have I gotten that request stuck in everybody's mind or was that a clue to the CJC vehicle that will be on the Con set?

I'll say this about the con set this year. As of this second, I can 100% say with 100% absolute certainty that there will NOT be a Mole Pod in the set, or as a bonus item. As for why it was in there - that's better left to Loop to say.

HA! I did get it stuck in everyone's head! GO MOLE PODS GO!

See guys, there is still hope to get a Mole Pod:
- Mike says no "Mold Pod"... so we can still get our "Mole Pod" :P
- In 2009, I found that we were getting a HISS... and Mike said no... at the end Mike says: "It wasn't a HISS, it's a H.A.T.E. Tank
See guys, be prepared, you will love your Chromed Mole Pod

Great newsletter.
The comic was entertaining - nice to see the "Expand the Universe" winner included.
Love the hints and sneak preview of the Con set. Like the Joe figure. You guys have always done a great job of making them look realistic.
Looking forward to see where the "Diary of a Joe Room" entries go in future.

That's not a Mole Pod in the comic...it's the Lava Pod. There's a difference, the Lava Pod was a Canadian exclusive.

Hey I said Lava Pod first... we are just used to calling it a Mole Pod.
Either way, I loved you comic! I can't wait to read more. +1

Sorry, I got Mole Pod in my mind. And I'm thrilled you love the comic!

Another great comic. That Pat Lee article was very well done. I would not have been able to be as fair towards that guy if I were to write an article on that situation.
-
That was fun seeing the I.C.E. Queen in the comic--and I thank Jason for crediting me. Very pleased to see the characterization from the filecard carried over too!! Great fun seeing it all come to life! Bravo--well done!

AWESOME!

Mr. Lee doesn't get much love in the comics world, that's for sure. There were creators raising money to help out the DW creators that were ripped off.
Here's one of several strips that express David Willis' (Shortpacked) feelings about the man:

That was one of my concerns: making sure it was done right. From one artist to another, I wanted to stay loyal to another person's creation so I'm really glad you appreciated her appearance... she will turn up again down the road. It was actually a blast involving a new character created by another member of the board that I hope down the road we could have a second annual contest.

:) Love it guys
Keep up the awesome job

Thanks for the kind words. I've been working on it for some time.
While it would have been very easy to have bashed on Pat Lee, that's not what I wanted the article to be about. In fact, with everyone I contacted for information and interviews, I said that I would be covering the basics of what happened, but would not be attacking anyone.

Seriously, there is definately a lot of hard feelings and general hate towards Lee.
I remember meeting Pat Lee back when Dreamwave first really took off. He was looked upon at the time as a real driving force in the industry. He definitely was drawing major attention (and I would say rightly so). Somewhere, though, things turned ugly and didn’t end well for a lot of people.

Great newsletter, again! The customizing tips, comic and con exclusive hints were all an awesome read. The Dreamwave debacle article in particular was also very well researched and presented, thank you Sidewinder!

I like how you stayed your ground and remain objective. This is a great way to approach a difficult subject. You did very well and I enjoyed reading your article particularly, even though I don't give much attention to Transformers. You managed to to keep a reader like me very interested until the end, bravo I look forward to reading your new findings.
